The house
History
The wooden house dates from the 1920s. It was exhibited at a gardening exhibition in Dresden, then dismantled there and rebuilt in Rathen. Even back then, "living in the countryside" was propagated. It was probably made by the Deutsche Werkstätten Hellerau.
Externally, it is still completely original. Inside, it was remodelled somewhat and a bathroom was added.
The house Ilse is used privately by us. However, we think that other people should also get to know the house and the surroundings. For this reason, we rent out the house for a few weeks a year to guests who are looking for nature and peace.
Facilities
The house has a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom, a children's bedroom and a master bedroom. There is enough space for 4 people.
In the entrance area, you can enjoy your morning coffee or evening wine on a terrace sheltered from the wind and rain. On the garden side of the house is a terrace for sun lovers. The spacious garden invites you to take a cosy afternoon nap on a deck chair.

Arrival and visitor's tax
Getting there and also exploring the surrounding area is very convenient by public transport (S-Bahn Dresden, Haltestelle Kurort Rathen). The most romantic way to get there is by boat from Dresden. But be careful - bring time!
A car park is available for those arriving in their own vehicle.
The Kurort Rathen charges a visitor's tax. This entitles the holder to free use of the ferry in the village and to various discounts in the surrounding area. The visitor's tax is charged directly at the time of rental. The guest card is issued upon arrival.
